Hack the Pentagon
Hack the Pentagon is a bug bounty program sponsored by the US Defense Department. Launched with a pilot in 2016, Hack the Pentagon was the first bug bounty program in the federal government’s history. The goal of the Hack the Pentagon bug bounty program is to identify and resolve security vulnerabilities with Defense Department public-facing websites through crowdsourced security. The Hack the Pentagon program has engaged hundreds of ethical hackers around the globe to discover and disclose vulnerabilities on DoD assets lawfully. In addition, the DoD’s first Vulnerability Disclosure Policy established a 24/7 pathway for security experts to disclose vulnerabilities safely.
